This beats the Tesla Model S Plaid by 10 kilowatts. The Air also beats the Taycan Turbo S with a 10.1-second quarter-mile time. It also has a top speed of 173 mph and maximum cornering of 0.92 g.
The Lucid Air features a skateboard-style structure and 112kWh battery pack with 6600 cells, running a 900V system for added efficiency. It is propelled by dual motors and has a 0‑60mph time of 2.5sec and a standing quarter-mile time of under 10sec at over 140mph. It also features Bilstein Damptronic Sky dampers, Akebono six-piston calipers at the front and four-pots at the rear.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Dimensions:
The Air’s interior is adorned with top-notch materials and curved door panels to heighten the perception of spaciousness. The cabin also features a large, curved screen reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan’s. The back seat has plenty of legroom and is set low to allow sufficient headroom under the squished roofline. The clamshell trunk lid has a huge 32-cubic-foot cargo area.
The Lucid Air offers a luxurious grand touring saloon car experience, with airy interiors due to the seamless windscreen melding into a full glass roof, and the driver’s environment and rear passenger section are trimmed in different colours. The sweeping main display has 5K resolution, a tasteful colour palette and a logical interface, and the central, portrait-orientated ‘Pilot Panel’ allows access to a host of other functions. The interior space is also increased due to the miniaturisation of the drive units and ultra-efficient batteries.

The Air features an infotainment system with a responsive touchscreen. It also has a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and more. It is also compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Lucid Air features connectivity features, such as a traditional instrument display, media and communication control, climate control, retractable ‘Pilot Panel’ and a twin hollow-spoked steering wheel.
