Overview – Ford Mustang Mach-E SR RWD

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a new electric crossover that was released in late 2022. It has a range of 273 miles on a single charge and a 1-emotor 254bhp, 317lb ft engine, with a 1spd, RWD and a 0-62mph in 6.9sec, 111mph performance. It costs £37,350 after a UK government subsidy and weighs 1993kg. It has a large 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen, a range of safety features, and a warranty.

It is a likeable car with good steering and a lot of rear-seat space, however, wind noise is prominent and the physical pedal response is less reassuring. The Ford Mustang Mach-E offers two different drivetrain options – rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive. The rear-wheel-drive variant is a throwback to the rear-wheel-drive Mustangs of the past, bringing with it a sense of nostalgia for traditionalists, and an added efficiency for long-distance trips.

The rear-wheel-drive Mach-E comes with two battery options – standard range and extended range – and power outputs ranging from 266 horsepower to 346 horsepower, depending on the battery and drivetrain configuration. It boasts impressive torque, with 317 lb-ft of torque in its standard range battery rear-wheel-drive model, and 428 lb-ft of torque in its extended range all-wheel-drive model. 

It has 254 bhp, 317 lb-ft engine, with a single speed RWD and acceleration of 0-62mph in 6.9sec, maximum speed of 111 mph performance. We note the Mustang Mach-E is quick enough for any situation, but does not encourage you to drive it quickly.

The Mach-E provides a comfortable and spacious interior with plenty of room for cargo. It also features a. The car also includes a unique “frunk” for storing items, which doubles as a cooler. 

The interior of the Mustang Mach-E is very much American Ford, with the seats form and texture looking a bit dated. The 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen is the main attraction of the cabin, with the interface being a big tablet infotainment system, which is highly intuitive and user-friendly. There was also a lot of rear-seat space in the Mustang Mach-E.

The Mustang Mach-E is equipped with a variety of tech and connectivity features, including an intuitive tablet infotainment system, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The car comes with a variety of driver assistance and safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a rearview camera.  The 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen is the main attraction of the cabin, with the interface being useable while driving. There is also a lot of rear-seat space in the Mustang

Final Thoughts

The rear-wheel-drive Mustang Mach-E is a great option for drivers who don’t often encounter icy road conditions. It offers a unique blend of nostalgia, efficiency, and performance, and is a great choice for those looking for a more affordable electric vehicle.  It has good steering and a lot of rear-seat space, however, the wind noise is prominent and the physical pedal response was not reassuring.
