Carbon Calculator

This carbon calculator is for personal footprints. All inputs like use, distance, consumption and spend should be an individual’s share.

More countries will be added in due course.

Housing Use Intensity Footprint
Travel Distance Intensity Footprint
Food Consumption Intensity Footprint

Hi all, can any one help me? if an oil rig burns 4400 tonnes of diesel a year what’s the co2 emissions or carbon footprint of this.

    • zagadka314 (Randy)

      4400 tonnes = 4850.17 tons = 138500 US gallons

Based of the Jetta, 13.124 kg per gallon of US diesel. But CO2e includes other emissions and I really doubt the oil rig has a high level of air emissions control equipment. I bet the real number is higher.

Anyway, it ends up at 1.82 million kilograms of CO2. An electric car in countries like Norway could literally drive to the planet Mars and emit less pollution, based on power mix.

The calculator isn’t working for me..

    Why isn’t it working?
